Half full or half empty?

Betting System Reviews Update:

12/09/12

Welcome to your weekly roundup

of the OBE Betting System Reviews.

At the end of what has been yet another mixed week for OBE Betting System Reviews, we are left in a position where five of the ten active services (iLuvFooty hasn’t started just yet!) under review are in profit, whilst the other five continue to lose money. Before we decide whether our glass is half empty or half full, let’s look a little closer at the events that have brought to this 50/50 split.

Overall, it was a loss-making week, as the net figure showed a deficit of £565 between the ten services, but four of them actually made a profit: 3 Minute Bets led the way as they climbed out of the red with a profit of £95, whilst it was also a decent week for the Zerohype Banker Service whose bottom line was increased to the tune of £68.

No weekly roundup would be complete without recording some profit from PAWS and this week is no exception: another £44 into their pot, courtesy of a 50% strike rate over the week, and the only other service showing a profit was new recruit, the Paul Fowlie Speed Ratings, who joined us just yesterday and their only bet to date was a winner at a shade under 2/1 (4/1 had been available earlier!)

The other six services all lost money: some £792 between them and the worst offenders were Racing Experts (-£114), newcomer The Gambling Don who lost £130 on Day 1 and worst of all: a truly terrible week for the Midas Method, who somehow lost £412: that’s going to be hard to recoup.

So, here’s the latest OBE Betting System Reviews league table:

PAWS £908.05 (at day 46)
Race Profits Australia £135.72 (at day 58)
The Zerohype Banker £98.54 (at day 42)
3 Minute Bets £40.71 (at day 50)
Paul Fowlie Speed Ratings £19.38 (at day 1)
iLuvFooty £0.00 (at day 0)
Great Champions -£115.35 (at day 55)
Gambling Don -£130.00 (at day 1)
Midas Method -£426.28 (at day 7)
Big Odds Barry -£446.07 (at day 56)
Racing Experts -£456.07 (at day 58)

As you can very well imagine, the overall Profit/Loss account doesn’t look too good after this week’s heavy losses: in fact the overall picture is one of a £371 deficit. The main culprits for this are the Midas Method, Big Odds Barry and Racing Experts who are responsible for losses of £1328 between them.

Thankfully we do have some decent performers to offset some of these losses: there are 3 or 4 services with moderate profit levels, but once again we seem to be relying on the consistently reliable PAWS for our profits: their bank now stands at +£908: quite remarkable in less than 7 weeks’ worth of action.

As with last week, only PAWS takes my fancy at present, but I’m really keen to see how the new recruits perform over the next few weeks: time alone will be their judge!
