The Power Naps people gave us 3 horses today, giving a net profit of 13.75 Points
First Horse, Mr Gardner in the 1.30 Cheltenham, came nowhere, but we then had Albertas Run at 2 points to win @6/1, and it did, followed by Bicg Bucks with a 3 point stake at 5/4,
So the “to-date” loss has turned around to a handy nett 6t points profit after 4 days.

A good day for Power Naps and the only thing stopping it from being a brilliant one was literally a horses head – or rather a class All Weather jockey in Chris Catlin as opposed to the one on our horse!

Well I hapilly got it wrong – those nice people at Power Naps gave up their Sabath to make us some money!
They gave 2 selections, Vivaldi at Hexhamin the 14.10 which came in unplaced, losing us 2 points but in the 16.10 they tipped Eyre Square as a Poew Nap – it won a 2 point bet at 2/1 making a net gain of 2 points on the day. Multiple point winning can be as profit lifting just as it can be bank busting. To date, it has performed well

As a p.s, 2 points is really only there so Each Way bets can be 1 point each, instead of 1/2 a point each way. We have had the occasional 3 point bet advised, which I suppose, if we called the usual 2 point bet just 1 point, a one and a half point bet (Still with me), the profit would be a more plausible 9 plus points, which is still vety laudable for just half a month. Now I have got that out of the way, wont mention it again until the end of the trial!

When I saw the Power Naps Selections for today I thought we were on April Fools errand.
Instead of finding the ladder, a slithery snake came out instead, 3 points lost on the first bet, 4 on an eachway for the second , then one of the Power Naps men dashed in with the ladder, smashed it on the snakes head to give us a 3 point winner, Sikara, 8.30 Dundalk at 9/4 leaving us with only a 1/4 point loss. (Mine was bigger as only got 5/4 at BSP) These results are given to the advised prices which you may or maynot get depending on whether you pick up the e.mail as soon as it is sent out.

Ladder wobbled a bit today
Wonderful start with a 3 point win bet in the 14.10 Doncaster with King Of Jaxx at 6/4 giving a nice 41/2 points profit
Spoilt by Extraterrestial losing a 2 point each way bet in the 3.20 costing us 4 points of our gain, but worse was the favourite in the 4.30 at Curragh costing us 3 points on a straight win bet.Interestingly, the early price was 11/8 a hottish favourite, but it drifted significantly by a full point at the off.

There were 3 bets today from the Power Naps people which , hopefully, has turned round a long losing run before we got into a loss situation
3.25 Ayr 2 points each way on Merigo at 14/1
It had an SP of 20 , and placed. As in all the each ways I have used the BSP price in this case 5.71(4.71 nett)
The second bet, 4.15 Newbury at 3 points the win came nowhere but the final bet, a 4 point banker at 2/1, 6.15 Doncaster,Horse called StMoritz won for us.
So, net winnings on the day of 12 points.

After a “nice day, day 39, today is horrible with our profit just about cut in half

Silly Me – I announced there was no racing today – It must me my religous upbringing, I frankly cannot believe racing/gambling would be allowed, however.
There were 3 Power naps, first 2 both 3 point win bets failed but the 3rd, 5.40 Mussleburgh, Silvanus was also a 3 point win only bet advised at 3 points. It went off at 11/2 and won. Our results can only show it achieving 3 points to be consistent, but anyone with a price arrangement would have pulled an extra 71/2 points profit.

Ease of Use – an e.mail arrives from BetFan promptly everyday with very clear betting instructions. No thinking required other than how to bet. The Power Bets people advise where thier odds are attained. In use, there have been better odds at Betfair SP also worse from there. Probably Best Odds Guaranteed bookie should be used.

Now this profit looks good, but remember to achieve these profits, multiple points bets need to be used.
For example each ways are usually 2 points each way – total 4 points, a number of 4 point win bets and many 3 point win bets.
So if you are using £10 a point, a bet will often be £40, or £400 if £100 per point.
It is also very much snakes and ladders.
We quickly achieved 55 points profit at day 23 half way through the trial.
This disappeared in the course of a sequence of 14 losing bets in some 10 days, down to 1 point.
The largest minus profit situation was in the first couple of days when a loss of 8 points was on the books.
On the basis that this trial showed how easily you can lose over 50 points the writer considers a bank of less than 100 points would be folly.
Conclusion. Not much to do other than open the e.mail and place your bets.
It went from nil to 50 points plus profit in 20 or so days, and 1 point to 49 in another 20 days. It also managed to collapse from 55 points to only 1 in 10 days!!
My considered opinion is that with a 33% strike rate with virtually no odds on bets this is a good service and is likely to provide profits, albeit on a roller coaster ride. A point a day, be it £10, £20 £50,£100, whatever level you play at, is a good money, and an excellent return on a 100 point bank which I stress , is the very minimum I would use They are able to pick winners at good odds. A look at the racing index tipsters comparisons shows a few at Power Naps level of strike rate, but they are either each way of predominately odds on backers.
Were I a backer ( I am a layer) I would certainly run with this service.
