False Favourites
The Ultimate Guide To Laying Low-Priced Favourites Who Lose!
There seems to have been an explosion of laying systems over the last few months. They are appearing everywhere and new ones are being churned out on a daily basis. Unfortunately, most of them are useless rubbish, written by some half-wit with only one intention – to pull in money from the unsuspecting punter using nothing more than a snazzy website and wild claims of life changing wealth and riches. Some of them will have just three rules, some will have fifteen, but the majority we come across fall well short of the mark.
A lot of people believe that laying is an easy game, after all how difficult can it be to find a loser, right?
Wrong! Laying is a difficult game and there aren’t many systems that produce the goods consistently. It’s a game that’s fraught with dangers… that 12/1 outsider (that you’ve had to lay at nearer to 16/1) who doesn’t have a chance, but somehow gets up on the line and takes with it all of your previous profit and then some. And it will happen much more than you think!
It’s not all doom and gloom, however, because there is a way to make a decent living from laying horses, especially if you concentrate on low priced favourites. There is only one way to do this successfully and that is to do your homework! It is definitely possible to make a comfortable living from laying favourites, in fact that’s where the majority of my betting income comes from, but you must know what you are doing and, unfortunately, there are no real short-cuts.
So, the best way to learn how to do this successfully is to listen to someone who has been there, done that and worn the T-Shirt. In my opinion, one of the best laying courses available on the Internet today is False Favourites, which comes with 216 pages of sheer gold. It’s written by a Betfair Accredited Trainer, Jonathan Burgess, and it’s clear from the start that this is someone who knows what he’s talking about.
Right from the word go, Jonathan makes sure you are aware this is no walk in the park, you won’t retire overnight, in fact the results on Jonathan’s website show he is making around 10-15 points profit per month, not an outrageous claim by any means. So with £50 stakes you’d be profiting by £500 – £750, £100 stakes you’d be banking £1000 – £1500 a month. I think this is one of the reasons I really admire Jonathan, he is totally upfront, he won’t insult your intelligence with ridiculous claims and hype. What he is offering you is the chance to learn how to make a consistent and relatively safe income by betting on horses to lose.
False Favourites is split into two books, the first deals with all the ins and outs of National Hunt racing, starting at the basics of opening your Betfair account, discussing why favourites lose and taking you step by step right the way through to the selection method. And this isn’t just a page of how to choose your selection, this is 30 pages of the most useful ‘how to’ I have read in a long, long time! The selection process is then followed up with 20 pages of examples to help you understand exactly how Jonathan makes his picks.
The second book deals with laying on the Flat and is just as detailed as book one, providing you with a wealth of information and numerous examples to ensure you understand the methodology and theory behind it all.
Now, I know this isn’t going to make pleasant reading for those of you who are searching for a “get rich quick” solution, but here at Online Betting Exposed we aim to bring the best of products to your attention, not the ones that make unrealistic claims and fail to deliver, and I would defy anyone to pay the £27.99 for this fantastic product and not to be absolutely delighted with your purchase. It really is that good.
FF is a fantastic system.
Anyone running False Favourites?
I have run it for 1 month already ( 2 weeks paper , 2 weeks real bet )
I’m pleased with the results so far.
But, i’m looking for someone who running this system also, then we can discuss about our pick of the day. If both of our pick are the same, then it’s will be great. Well, if it is not, then we might need to review back our pick again.
=)
Hi all,
Been looking at the comments on this “system” and thought hey! a method that works!! Now went onto thepay page to order it and they want $40.32. As I’ve been ripped off loads of times I’m naturally reticent to part with my hard earned and I’m thinking that that’s more than £19.99. Is this system reeeely kosher? How much mave other forumites paid for it?
All comments appreciated.
G gee
FF is much more worth that the price of £19.99.
=)
@G gee,
I have FF, but don’t use it in it’s full form because I just don’t have the time at the moment. Comments in the past have been that the system can throw up different results for different people as some of the rules can be a little ambiguous. However FF isn’t so much a system but more of a training manual on laying favorites. I currently use bits and pieces of it to use as filters for other stuff I have going on. If you look around you’ll see a couple of manual & automated systems based on a similar premis as FF. I think it’s worth it and so do many others on here. It’s only £20 so what’s to lose.
Wow! What a meaty tome! I’m going to have a few sleepless nights getting through this! Looks a good 20 quids worth. My printer’s just about recovered!
I followed the selections of someone testing this service on another site and the results were incredibly good, the only problem was that we were seeing the selection after the race had been run so cannot verify how legitimate the results were.
The same guy that was testing is now providing the selections for a daily racing service that i have a month subscription to but the results have so far been disappointing with 5 of the 13 runners winning their races for a loss of about 5 points at BSP.
These are the selections so far this month, it would be interesting to see how they compare to anyone elses that is following the system.

@ John W
Hi John, you say you are using a service that provides FF as a lay of the day, who is this and do they have a website.
The results have not been updated since August, also you couldnt trust them as the rules are vague which means he could easily say any one of the faves he picked was the selection since different people get different selections.
It would help if he gave out selections but he wont.
he would be on the top of all laying tipsters if he proofef to racingindex, but he wont, and its free.
he talks like a betfair accredited trainer maens you know something about gambling, but as betfair what it takes to become one and they will tell you thats its a 2 day course on how to use betfair, e.g how to navigate etc so you can teach others how to do the same, it means diddly sqaut zilch and zero about gambling at all or horses.
yes the book is full of info, that all sounds very good and probaly is and is a very good but the author refuses to proof or update results so how can we trust it works.
This is why you should run a test, because all bought systems ful of seemingly usefull info but put to the test will the info actualy be usefull at all and actualy make any difference? We need a live test in my opinion.
Dave
Re False Favourites,
I have this book. As has been stated already in this thread, the book does not outline a system and people will get different results. Its not totally objective like, for example, a system that just picks favourites between 2.0 and 3.0 that haven’t won at the distance and course they are about to race at. It points you in the direction of types of races and courses where favourites don’t so so well but that’s just part of it. It doesn’t claim to be a system so to say it’s vague is to do it a disservice. The problem most people will find with it is that they won’t be prepared to put the work in to get the best out of it. We live in an X Factor society sadly. “I want it now and with as little work as possible please” seems to be the order of the day in the UK today.
At £19.99 this is a bargain, i have been paper trading for a few days and the results have been very good. If you follow the logic, not only will you trap the false favourite, it will give you a feel for the race.
The price has now gone up on False Favourites (always did think it was too cheap anyway), but it's still good value at around £28 or so.
