The Format Racing Method

I’m sure you’ll be familiar with the old scenario where you come across a betting system that’s been racking up the profits, only for it all to fall flat on its face as soon as you put your hard-earned cash down. We’ve all been there and it isn’t pleasant when it happens, but in February we came across a new system we’d heard good reports called The Format Racing Method and when we decided to put our money down and test it out, we were nothing but impressed!

This is what Craig had to say about it prior to starting our test…

The Format Racing Method is a backing system that employs dutching, which won’t appeal to everyone. However, dutching methods when put to good use can produce some fantastic profits. The Format Racing Method has been built around a certain racing statistic and, as such, the author claims the worst you can do is break even. Not sure I like the thought of betting all day just to break even, but that’s probably a more realistic claim than many a betting system!

Format Racing comes with its own spreadsheet to work out your stakes on each selection, saving the old grey matter from doing too much work. The downside is yet again this is a live market system and it’s unlikely you could automate it. However, the website claims some quite amazing profits, and if this test confirms them then its a small price to pay!

The guide itself comes in the form of a downloadable ebook and is relatively straight to the point with no excessive waffle. The author spends a few pages explaining the theory behind the system and, on first inspection, it seems logical enough.

There are a few types of races that the author suggests you avoid and he gives his reasons for doing so, but other than those, any race is fair game! As I’ve said it is a live market system and will probably result in some frantic bet placing just before the off but I would hope it will become easier with practice.

The author claims that it is safe to operate Format Racing off a 20 point bank as only the worst of runs would wipe that kind of bank out, however, he does say that it may be wise to double that just to play safe. With that in mind, I will allocate a £1000 bank and aim for £25 profit per race including Betfair commission, which means the actual target will be £26.25.

Every day for a month Craig then posted daily updates in the System Testing section of our website (click the link above and you can see how it performed on a day-by-day basis) and at the end of the test period this is what he had to say about it…

After a month of testing, our Format Racing trial has drawn to a close and it has immediately jumped straight to the top of my betting portfolio after what can only be described as an outstanding month!

I see literally hundreds of systems every year and most can be dismissed out of hand, however, Format Racing caught my eye simply because it is based on cold, hard, ruthless statistics. There is nothing I like seeing more than a system that can be backed up by facts, and Format Racing is one such system. Even so, the claims on the Format Racing website did seem a little ambitious to me, and indeed the results have been rounded up somewhat which posed a question or two over their validity.

However, the results during our month of testing have well and truly dismissed any scepticism that may have plagued me. In fact, we have pocketed just shy of 34 points (or £840) profit over the course of 25 days, an average of 1.36 points profit per day.

For this test, I was aiming for £25 profit per race using a £1000 bank, and it was pure profit from day one. As with any form of gambling, there were days that I didn’t come out ahead, but these were surprisingly rare, and were more than made up for on the winning days.

Format Racing is based on the live markets around the time of the off and, as such, requires a hands on approach from the user. I have heard, however, that it is possible to automate it using Market Feeder Pro, but I have never used it so can’t confirm this. For those unable to bet every day I would recommend looking into this as it would be a shame to lose out on such a powerful system.

I had no problems running the system manually and, although the first couple of days were a bit hectic getting used to the system and getting my bets on, I soon got into the swing of it and within two or three days had a little ritual in place for checking the markets and placing my wagers.

So, do I recommend Format Racing? Without doubt, it is one of the most profitable backing systems I have come across to date, and because it is based on sound racing principles, I see no reason for that to change. Having said all that, I would be mad to give it anything but the highest of OBE recommendations!

I also followed the system for the last two weeks of the test and like Craig said, it took me a little time to get to grips with it, but I’ve got to say that I was thoroughly impressed at how consistent it was and unlike many a betting system the liabilities were minimal throughout.

Any system that practically doubles your starting bank in the space of 25 days, with steady growth on a near-daily basis, is worthy of serious consideration and that’s exactly what The Format Racing Method did during our testing period.

We were very impressed with this…

Any developments with the format bot? Reading back over the posts seems to reverse the review a bit but where there’s (bot) life, there’s hope!

  3. Kevin says:

The Format Racing results are back up at the site.

Amazing how many people have commented on its negative results of late and yet look at the published profits…DOES ANYONE BELIEVE THESE PROFITS TO BE TRUE?….

I have been observing this system for a short while and have still not made up my mind whether it works or not. In my opinion the only way to increase credibility re his results is for him to have them professionally verified (yes there are a few organisations out there who do this). This should put the kibosh on all the negative grumblings, and if his method genuinely works then this could only be to his benefit.

can anyone please give me the settings for the GHB to run the Format racing method as i cant get it to work with the risk factor
