Lay Bot Pro
How To Profit From Greyhounds & Horses On Betfair Virtually Everyday
Automatic betting is the holy grail to many punters nowadays. You get up in the morning, spend a few minutes firing up your bot and adding your selections for the day, then leave it to chug away making money for you all day long while you’re at work, on the golf course, or doing anything else you fancy.
Of course, you do still need a successful selection process in order to profit from anything, but there are a lot of neat tricks you can do with betting bots that you can’t do so easily when betting manually. For example… loss recovery, cycle betting, dutching, hedging and trading can all be performed with betting bots. If you can think of a scenario for how your bets should be placed it can probably be achieved with a betting bot nowadays.
I’ve been using bots for a long time and in the near future I’m going to write a more detailed article about what you can do with them, as well as reviews of different types of bots, but I came across a new one this week called Lay Bot Pro and I wanted to give you the opportunity to test this out (for FREE!) in the meantime.
Here is a quick rundown on what you can do with Lay Bot Pro:
- Automatically place lay bets on all UK horse or greyhound races.
- Choose your own races to bet in or select them all – it’s your choice.
- Specify whether you want to lay the favourite or a named runner.
- Set your own odds range and tell it exactly when your bets should be placed.
- Test multiple staking plans – level stake, % of bank, max liability and loss recovery.
- Set your own stop loss and daily profit target, or just leave it to run.
- Use it in “Simulation Mode” without risking your own cash.
Now, I’ll tell you straight off that I’ve got other bots with a wider range of features than this one, but this is only the second version of Lay Bot Pro, more features are planned in the near future, and I actually think it will appeal to a lot of you because the interface is simple in design and extremely easy to operate. This might sound a bit irresponsible to some of you, but I had Lay Bot Pro up and running and placing live wagers on Betfair just 5 minutes after downloading it… before I even read the manual!
Here is a screenshot to give you an idea of how the software looks:
I wouldn’t recommend that any of you follow my lead and start it betting for you without first reading the manual, but it really is as simple as loading your races and setting the conditions for how your bets should be placed using the options section on the right of the screen. As soon as you’ve done that you just click the “Start” button and that’s you off and running.
You can download a fully functional version of Lay Bot Pro to try it out completely free of charge and it would be great if a few of you could do that and come back here to post your views, any reservations you might have, or even suggestions for new features that could be implemented.
I’d be interested in hearing what you think….
Hi,
I downloaded the free trial of Lay Bot Pro on Monday and I’m happy to say that it works very well. The first day I used the simulation mode to see how it worked and I’ve since tested all of the features with cash bets and it’s performed admirably. There isn’t anything negative for me to report back. I’ve purchased a license and will be using it from now on.

This is an excellent piece of kit. The “dog’s bollocks” as they say in my part of the country. I’ve used it to make a packet at Aintree this week!
I was planning on submitting some new feature requests to the developer this week (worth asking anyway) so if a few more of you could test this software out and let me know what you think it would be appreciated. Thanks!
I signed up for the free trial today and am not impressed. My main concern is that the bot kept switching from recovery stake to fixed stake-it kept happening so i had to turn it off. Also there are not enough features-no irish racing, u can only lay fav or a horse/dog that u pick not 2nd fav etc., u cant back etc.
Hi Calvin,
I think you need to select recovery stake before you load everything up and that will be the way it bets.
You can’t do back bets because it’s a lay bot, but if you can list what features you would like to see that would be helpful.

Hi
I just wanted to let you know about a few things with laybotpro.
New features due in Version 2 out soon.
1st,2nd,3rd,4th favourites can be selected
Number of runners filter
Below Betfair min bet, bet as little as 10p
Back bets
% bank liability stake
Soon after we will add Aus/RSA racing and a few other neat features
To answer a few questions:
Irish racing is loaded currently.
Recovery stake will revert to fixed stake when the number of cycles or losses has been exceeded. This is a safety feature.
I hope this helps.
Best regards
Mark
If you buy now do you get an automatic update when the new version comes out?
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the update – it’s appreciated!
I was planning on emailing you this week once I had a bit of feedback from people, but to be honest I think you’ve pretty much covered everything I was going to suggest anyway.
I like your software – nice, neat, does the job well and the new features will pretty much place it up there with the rest of the bots that are available these days.
Good work!
~ Paul
@ Lee – yes, I believe so.
hi,
excuse me for bad language….
i have a question:
i use laybotpro for place lay bet on uk horse,
i place all my stake fixed lay bet in the bot ,set “place bet 600 secs before the off”,and i go away from my computer…….
After some week i have calculated that my lay bet is 23% higher than SP betfair price.
I think this is to high , my goal is to stay in range 15%-18%….
please any advice on time to place bet before ?
i know that not there is a magic number, but for you what is the best time ?
3 minutes ?
1 minutes ?
10 minutes ?
thanks in advance
I think doing it as close to the off as possible is probably best. I’ll regularly do it with just seconds to go until the official off time. You would be better to test different times to see what suits your selection method best I think though.
I like your software too. I gave it a go at the weekend and it works well. I can’t wait to see the new features that are planned for version 2.
Well all I can say is what a decent bit of kit. Been using it for over a week and no complaints so far, done everything I hvave asked it to do and I have had no issues.
In fact I’ve made a nice little profit doing practically nothing, I could get used to this.
Does any one know about an automatic system in the USA?
Sorry, I don’t Joe. All of the applications I’ve seen only work on Betfair and they don’t allow US customers.
I downloaded the software, and papertraded for a week, laying just favourites, and had I had done it for real I would have been quids in, so I decided this week to do it for real…..
I don’t know if I’m just struck with bad luck or not, but this software has lost me money consistently,
Day 1 – Horses – won 4 lost 7 (laying favourites)
Day 2 – Horses – won 2 lost 11 (laying non favourites)
Day 3 – Dogs – Won 1 lost 8 (laying favourites)
Day 4 – Dogs – Won 3 lost 5 (laying non favouites)
Day 5 – Dogs and Horses – Won 8 lost 17 (tried favs and non favs)
Day 6 – Horses – won 3 lost 6 (laying favourites)
Day 7 – gave up
Total loss is -£437, I just can’t afford to wait for the winning streaks, in my case they just don’t seam to happen.
Chris
Chris, how did the software lose you money consistently? The software only automates your own selection process, so it was surely your own bets that got beat?
Ya… I think so… because you are choosing the match to bet.. the LBP only helps you to FIRE your bets automatically only. Btw, Chris, do you use staking plan ?
Chris — It seems you are trying a bit of a shotgun approach. You are hitting some but missing the others. I understand the bot is a bit of a new ” toy ” at the moment , but you need to develop a more consistant approach and use a staking plan. I would paper trade for a while longer until you get a sense of direction. For example the Betalay system only targets a specific horse in each race and lays that. You can use the bot for this. It has it’s ups and downs but does make a profit.
It might be worth considering.
hi craig i ihave afew questions well i just a newbie to this whole software systems and i would like to know if i can purchase more than one software program lets say betalay and lay bot pro would i need two computers for this also i live in the usa and i have my bank acount in trinidad and one in canada would this work for me or do you have to run the system in the same country your accounts are let me know collette
Collette, the next version of Lay Bot Pro – which is probably almost ready I think – will allow you to operate the exact Betalay system completely on autopilot.
You wouldn’t need two computers. As long as you can set up a Betfair account you should be fine.
I have the Betwise system, which I am told is the same as Betalay. (I believe they changed the name some time ago)
If the system is the same as Betalay, it requires monitoring the prices on Oddschecker or similar. Can you do this with the bot?
Hi
Yes you are correct in stating Betwise is the same product. But you cannot monitor SP odds using a bot, even if you could prices on betfair invariably vary 10-20% most of the time, NOT all the time. So to follow betalay to the letter, SP price of, for example, 8/1 appears just before the off, you check betfair price is 10.6 9.6 liability? Are you going to back it? And the selection on betfair just prior to the off may not be the same as the SP selection. On betfair with a bot I find that the odds to use are as follows Min 5.6 Max 10.4 this realistically equates to the SP odds range and works well with a Bot. Betfair odds 5 seconds before the off when the smart money is in give a realistic appraisal of the outcome of the race, so set the bot to start betting 7 seconds before the off, you will then be on the true selection. Using this method the average strike rate is as claimed 88% and average betfair odds around 7.5. So for every 100 points staked 10 point gain on average less 5% commission. Ladder stakes give better long term results, 5.6 – 7.4 stake 0.6% of the bank 7.5 – 10.4 0.4% of the bank, the bot will adjust automatically. You must also set the Non Runner removal rule to 20 reduction to avoid false prices. I use every race available with at least 8 runners and greater than 5f SA, USA, UK so good turnover. Today £40 profit from a £1000 bank using ladder stakes. Just keep at it daily win or lose the bot does everything, very low risk, just 5 mins every morning to reload the races, withdraw profits monthly after compounding I withdrew £1100 in May.
Regards
Hallo all of you in this forum. I am a beginner with LaybotPro. I should be very glad if you could help me with the best adjust for
1 UK-horses
2 US-horses
3 Greyhounds
Is the new version out now?
Not yet.
Doggy
Thanks Doggy, maybe they would be better off launching V1.5 with the new features that are ready or easy to do. If they wait till it’s perfect then it could be a very long wait indeed!
good software even though at the moment the features are limited. but waiting for the updates, which are promised not to be far away on a regular basis are honestly a bloody joke.
liabiliy limit on staking is only £500, which is quite low, been told the increase will be in future updates, but judging by present progress don’t hold your breath.
The Update is available now!!! Lots of new features and a hell of a lot faster.
For those of you who now have the updated version of Laybot Pro can you please advise whether you can now bet under the min £2 stake?
Yes. You can now place bets, both back and lay, as low as 0.10p.
The new version is a major improvement on the previous one and I can highly recommend it.
Hello… i’m knew here… sorry my inglish.
i just want to ask what’s the best system?this or betalay?in the laybotpro, what’s the best Min / Max odds interval to have success?
thanks
I have just tested the bot for 48 hours. I can only praise the software, what I like is the bots operational symplicity for laying selections, it is very refreshing to come across a very user freindly bot would recommend.
hi
what is the minimum stake and does my computer have to be on with LBP loaded for it to work
