Welcome to week 43 of the OBE Betting System Reviews.
Last week, we were discussing the new whip rules, which now seem to
have been amended to appease the flat jockeys, but now the jumps riders
are up in arms, with leading lights like Ruby Walsh undecided as to
whether they’ll continue to ride in the UK. Whichever side of the debate
you sit on, I think we’d all agree that it needs sorting out once and for
all as soon as possible!
Speaking of sorting things out, I’ve been busy trying to sort the wheat
from the chaff amongst the plethora of systems we’ve currently got on
trial at OBE.com and it looks a little like this:
Top performer once again was Dazzling Dutches who added another
49pts to last week’s 38pt gain: impressive stuff! Proven Winners Racing
(stablemate of Dazzling Dutches!) (+14.7pts) and Lay the Ratings (+12.4pts)
made up our top 3 this week.
This week’s 3 worst performers had a familiar ring to them, with a couple
of persistent strugglers in there! The already-doomed Cherry Bets lost
another 3.2pts, whilst Adyslays slipped another 7.7pts further into the red.
However, one system lost more than both of those combined! And that
dubious honour went to Short Leg Charlie who managed to lose over 15pts
since my last report.

As you can see, this week’s top 3 performers also take up the top 3 positions
overall with a combined profit of over 63pts, ideal contenders for any
portfolio, if those figures were to be sustained.
Our bottom 3 “relegation candidates” are exactly as they were last week and
in the same order, although Winners Agency had a much better week than
of late, with only a negligible 0.06pt loss. Adyslays now probably has
too much ground to make up to break even before the end of the trial, and
if our trial of Cherry Bets was a boxing match, the referee would have
stopped it a good while ago!
So, last week I advised you to keep your eyes on Dazzling Dutches. I firmly
stand by that advice and I shall be keeping them bookmarked this week. I
also think that it would be worthwhile following the fortunes of Place Bet Pro,
who have a very healthy strike rate in the place markets.
